Screed-Tech Uses Aggregate Industries’ Premium Highflow™ S Screed
Based on many years’ experience in the flooring industry we have selected the high-specification Aggregate Industries Highflow™ S screed due to its many advantages over standard sand-and-cement screeds. Due to their many advantages, liquid screeds are preferred in Europe, where they comprise 80% of new screeds laid.
Key advantages of Anhydrite Screed (Liquid Screed)
- Ready for light traffic after just 24 hours
- Highly resistant to impact
- No curling or lifting, highly stable
- Suitable for large areas without joints
- Shallower screed required compared with traditional methods
- Shorter drying time than conventional screeds
- Screed placing rate and output up to 10 x higher than standard screed
- No need for reinforcement below ceramic finishes
- Quick access for follow-on trades saves cost
- Suitable for use with water or electrical underfloor heating systems
- Transmits underfloor heat faster than conventional screeds
- Surface flatness to SR2 (5mm under a 3m straight edge) easily achieved
- Suitable for use in commercial and domestic buildings
- Similar compressive strength to conventional screed (supporting around 30 Nm)
- Similar flexural strength to conventional screed (supporting around 5 Nm)
- Liquid screed is less labour-intensive to lay than conventional screed
- Liquid screed laying does not require potentially damaging wheelbarrow- and foot-traffic
- Liquid screed production releases less carbon dioxide than conventional screed
- Anhydrite screed waste is recycled – conventional screed waste is unusable and goes to landfill
